Why wrap and not paint? This is the single most common question that is asked. Paint jobs can range anywhere between $3,000 - $10,000 for quality work which is also depended on paint quality, color & the amount of prep involved. Vinyl wrap can range anywhere between $3,000 - $6,000 depending on material quality, color, the amount of prep involved and vehicle type.
RESALE VALUE
Wrapping a vehicle will keep the resale value of your vehicle intact. You can restore the value of your vehicle when you remove the wrap, and when you do, your paint is in the same condition as it was on the day you wrap it. Should you have to repaint your vehicle, that vehicle will automatically devalue the resale price.
WARRANTIES
When choosing to wrap a vehicle, warranties and/or lease agreements will continue to be valid. Choosing to paint a vehicle will, in most cases, void your warranty.
COLOR OPTIONS
When purchasing your vehicle, you only have a handful of color options available. Wrapping provides you with a much wider variety of options to choose from including matte, satin, semi-gloss, gloss, carbon fiber, chrome, metallic, brushed steel and more. Painting your vehicle will limit your available color options as most of the vinyl film available cannot be replicated or reproduced.
DAMAGES
If your vehicle is damaged, instead of paying the high costs to color match and repaint, you can simply rewrap the section that needs to be fixed at a much lower cost than if you were to repaint your vehicle.
CARE & MAINTENENCE
When properly cared for, wraps will last for a number of years. This will ultimately depend on if high quality vinyl is used, how frequent you wash your vehicle, if your vehicle is left out in the sun, how long you leave external factors on your vehicle, such as bird droppings, dust, debris, etc. Wraps can last anywhere between 3 - 10 years depending on how well your wrap is taken care of.
